Warrant issued for aggravated robbery suspect

The Hillsboro Police Department has identified a man wanted on a first-degree felony aggravated robbery charge stemming from a May 16 armed robbery at the Hillsboro Rite Aid.
An arrest warrant from Hillsboro Municipal Court has been issued for Cole Midlam, 27, of Dayton, on the aggravated robbery charge, according to the HPD.
Police say that on May 16 a man entered the Hillsboro Rite Aid store, located on North High Street, displayed a firearm and demanded Oxycontin from the pharmacist. He then fled the store after allegedly receiving the drugs.
"On May 26, the Hillsboro Police Department learned that similar incidents occurred in Kettering and Huber Heights with a suspect matching the same description as the suspect in the Rite Aid incident," according to the HPD. "On March 27, 2010, the Huber Heights Police Department notified the HPD that they had issued a warrant for Cole Midlam for a pharmacy robbery in their jurisdiction. While working in conjunction with detectives from the Kettering Police Department and the Huber Heights Police Department, as well as assistance from the Pike County Sheriff's Department, Cole Midlam was identified as the suspect in the Rite Aid robbery in Hillsboro."
According to the HPD, Midlam is currently incarcerated in the Dearborn County Jail in Lawrenceburg, Ind. and has outstanding warrants from multiple law enforcement agencies. It was not immediately clear if Midlam would be extradited to Ohio to face the charges.
