Valley View Health Centers celebrates National Health Center Week 2025
Valley View Health Centers (VVHC), a program of the Community Action Committee of Pike County (CAC), proudly joins the national celebration of National Health Center Week (NHCW) 2025, taking place Aug. 3-9.
This year marks a special milestone as community health centers across the country recognize 60 years of improving the health of our nation.
As a vital part of America’s largest primary care network, Valley View Health Centers has been serving the residents of southern Ohio with comprehensive, compassionate, and affordable care for over 30 years. With nine locations across Pike, Scioto, Adams, and Jackson counties, Valley View Health Centers are committed to removing barriers to health care and ensuring that everyone – regardless of income, insurance status, or background – can access the services they need.
In 2024 alone, Valley View Health Centers delivered integrated care services – including dental, vision, primary care, pediatrics, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) – to 14,484 unique patients through 52,383 total visits across its nine locations in Pike, Scioto, Adams, and Jackson counties. These numbers reflect more than just appointments; they represent lives improved, illnesses prevented, and healthier communities built through compassionate, accessible, and patient-focused care.
“Community Health Centers like Valley View are more than just a doctor’s office. We are part of the community, and our care goes beyond the exam room,” said Keith Pitts, President and CEO of CAC, adding, “We are proud to provide integrated medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and vision services under one roof to meet the unique needs of our patients and communities.”
VVHC’s highly trained and dedicated staff are part of a national network of more than 310,000 professionals working on the frontlines to address the most pressing public health challenges. CHCs provide care for:
• 1 in 5 uninsured individuals;
• 1 in 3 people living in poverty;
• 1 in 5 rural residents;
• 9.4 million children; and
• 419,000 veterans.
Although Community Health Centers serve over 32.5 million Americans – roughly 10% of the U.S. population – they account for just 1% of total healthcare spending, demonstrating exceptional value by providing high-quality, cost-effective care that keeps people healthy and communities strong.
During National Health Center Week, Valley View Health Centers will participate in community events to raise awareness, share resources, and honor the contributions of staff and patients alike. Details about local events will be shared on Valley View’s website and social media platforms.
