Tornado sirens to be tested July 27

Highland County Sheriff Ron Ward has announced that the Highland County Central Dispatch/911 Center will conduct Tornado Siren Testing on Wednesday, July 27 at noon.
The tornado warning sirens in Hillsboro, Leesburg and Marshall will be set off. The testing is necessary as updated equipment has been installed at the dispatch center. The testing will be canceled if threatening weather exists during or near the testing time.
The tornado sirens are regularly tested on the first Wednesday of the month at noon. The normal testing schedule will resume on Wednesday, Aug. 3 at noon.[[In-content Ad]]
