Today, conservative businessman and former U.S. Marine Corps Drill Instructor Tim O’Hara is launching his campaign for the Republican nomination in Ohio’s Second Congressional District.

“Washington is out of shape, out of touch and out of time," O'Hara said. "I’ve spent a lifetime whipping organizations and people into shape and we have an urgent need for that in Washington."

O’Hara began his campaign with an initial personal investment of $750,000 and will raise additional funds from a network of supporters in Ohio. This personal investment continues a life of giving in service to his country, and to causes he believes in.

O’Hara grew up in southern Ohio, the son of a Vietnam Marine veteran, and joined the Marines four days after completing high school. Outside of his service in the Marines, O’Hara has started and still runs businesses across southern Ohio, creating thousands of jobs. He accomplished all of this without winning the lottery, inheriting anything, suing anyone or even graduating from college.

“I’ve had the honor of serving my country and creating opportunities for working families,” O’Hara said. “When I look at the mess in Washington now, I am appalled. We have a wide-open southern border, a disastrous foreign policy and Congress is letting China buy our farmland and punish workers in Ohio and across the nation. Enough is enough. We need someone in Congress who puts country before self and mission before ambition. I served in the Marine Corps as a drill instructor, where I made Marines. And I did it at the most challenging time in our national history – during 9/11. I know what it takes to whip a group into shape, and that’s why Ohio should send a drill instructor to Congress.”

Tim O'Hara would be a great strong member of Congress for the 2nd District. I've only met Tim a few times, but i know his dad. Tim is cut from the same cloth as his dad.
Good luck on your bid for that seat. As far as i can tell, he's the only one worthy of being elected to the 2nd District. OOHRAH.

I served with Tim on the Brown county health board. O'HARA is a talented businessman. He demonstrated a solid grasp of finance and social issues. His leadership during the covid crisis helped BCBH run smooth and drama free. We all love our country, O'HARA will serve us well.

Never forsake your honor. I wish you the best and will support you in the hope of correcting a flawed system. I hope you peacefully accomplish the goals we all strive for, but lack the means to achieve. Semper Fidelis.

I can't vote for Mr O'Hara because of where I live, but he has my support. 1 watch & listen to his commercial I know he'll do a great job in Washington DC for the people in Ohio & the country.

I'm a relative of a Marine & I know the strengths they have, their determination, passion & tenacity. Knowing he's headed to The House & will stand for what is right & good for our country & won't back down gives me some hope for our future. I'll spread the word about O'Hara for Ohio District 2 & do all I can to help!

Over the past few decades we've heard how social security is having a problem and to solve it presidents have raised the retirement age when this problem has a simple fix. Social security was started as a fund and when Congress saw the money that was in it they changed it to a tax so they could put their grubby hands in it and abuse it would you support changing social security back into a fund to keep Congress out of what the American workers taxpayers pay into for their old age
