Ticket request deadline approaches for Supreme Court session

By
-
The Highland County Common Pleas Court will be accepting requests from the public for tickets to attend one of the four oral arguments before the Ohio Supreme Court on Oct. 19. The first case begins at 9 a.m. and the last one at 11:05. Each session will last 30 minutes.
Anyone wishing to attend one of the four sessions should contact the Common Pleas Court Office by telephone at 393-2422 or by email at commonpleas@co.highland.oh.us by Sept. 30.
If requests for tickets exceed the available seating, a lottery will be held to determine those who will receive tickets. The Court will attempt to honor requests for tickets to a specific case, but cannot guarantee tickets will be for that case. Notifications to all applicants will be made by phone or email by Oct. 7. Tickets will have to be picked up at the Court by Oct. 17. Any tickets not claimed by that date will be given to those on the waiting list.
Security screening will be in place for this historic event, and tickets will have to be presented at the time of screening in order to be admitted. Attendees are urged to avoid bringing cell phones or any items that may require a personal screening.
