SR 753 closed June 20-24 for culvert replacement

CHILLICOTHE - Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Highland County Highway Maintenance Facility will undertake a culvert replacement project on state Route 753 later this month, requiring a weeklong closure of the route. 
According to Dan Nartker, transportation administrator of the county garage, the route will be closed the week of June 20 for crews to replace a deteriorated culvert located at the 9.05-mile marker near Rainsboro. 
“Although we are planning for a five-day closure of the route, we hope to have the route open to traffic in advance of the scheduled June 24 completion,” said Nartker. 
The project site is situated between Township Road 131A (Beaver Road) and Township Road 310 (Deer Park Road), approximately one mile north of U.S. Route 50 at Rainsboro. The route will be closed at 8 a.m. Monday, June 20, and it is scheduled to be closed until approximately 4 p.m. Friday, June 24. 
While S.R. 753 is closed, motorists will be detoured via U.S. 50 to County Road 16 (Petersburg Road) to S.R. 753.
