Smoking gym bag contained meth lab

A report of a smoking gym bag in the parking lot of a Hillsboro car wash led Hillsboro police officers to the discovery of a small meth lab Sunday afternoon.

The HPD reported that after receiving the call at approximately 4 p.m., an officer found indications the gym bag contained a meth lab. Hillsboro Fire and Rescue and the HPD meth lab investigator were called to the scene on South High Street. A cleanup crew was dispatched to dispose of the chemicals.
