Pierce Township – The Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, with assistance from the Ohio Department of Transportation, conducted an OVI checkpoint on state Route 125 in Pierce Township, Clermont County, on May 9 from 8-11 p.m.

A total of 426 vehicles were checked, four of which were diverted to the testing area for suspicion of OVI. The driver each of those four vehicles were determined to not be impaired. A saturation patrol of the surrounding area, conducted in conjunction with the checkpoint, resulted in three impaired motorists being arrested for OVI.
