Results of OVI checkpoint conducted by OSHP Batavia

OWENSVILLE – The Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol conducted an OVI checkpoint on US 50, at milepost 11, in the Village of Owensville, Clermont County.

The checkpoint occurred on August 22 from 8-10 p.m.

A total of 524 vehicles were checked, one of which was diverted for suspicion of OVI.

The driver of that vehicle was determined not to be impaired. A saturation patrol of the surrounding area, conducted in conjunction with the checkpoint, resulted in no arrests for OVI.

The Batavia Post was assisted with the checkpoint by the Owensville Police Department, Clermont County Sheriff’s Office, and Ohio Department of Transportation.

Federal grant money supported the OVI checkpoint and saturation patrol.
