Rep. Peterson announces groundbreaking of Appalachian Career Empowerment Training Center

PIKETON – State Rep. Bob Peterson (R-Sabrina) this week announced the official groundbreaking of a new state-of-the-art training facility in Piketon, designed to prepare the next generation of skilled workers for careers in energy and advanced manufacturing.

“Ohio’s continued growth depends on the students that will attend ACE and will build Ohio’s future,” said Rep. Peterson. “I am excited to provide opportunities for these hard-working young men and women to develop their skills.”

The new training center is a major investment in the future of Appalachian Ohio. The facility will serve as a hub for workforce development, providing hands-on training and career pathways for students, job seekers, and workers looking to upskill in high-demand fields.

The groundbreaking marks a pivotal step toward revitalizing the region’s economy and equipping Appalachia’s workforce for the opportunities of tomorrow.
