State Representative David Daniels (R-Greenfield) joined his Republican colleagues in denouncing the political power grab by the State Controlling Board in yesterday’s meeting approving a $25 million study on the 3-C rail corridor.
“With the problems we will face in the coming months and years, it is not in the best interest of Ohio to begin a project that has been declared unfeasible by most experts or a study that does not have bipartisan support,” Daniels said. “If this project comes to fruition, taxpayers would be required to subsidize the operation and maintenance costs in both the short and long term. I cannot in good conscience support spending $25 million on a study while we have many basic service needs unmet in this state.”[[In-content Ad]]
