Public comment period open for S.R. 73 bridge replacement

CHILLICOTHE – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation—District 9’s Planning Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input for a bridge replacement project on S.R. 73 in Highland County.

HIG-73-21.11 (119769) It is proposed to replace the bridge on S.R. 73 between S.R. 785 and Flat Run Road, in Highland County. The project is located in the rural area Jackson Township.

The project will not require new right-of-way.

No homes or businesses will be removed by the project.

The roadway will be open for the duration of the project.

The funding for the project is 80% Federal 20% State

The Environmental Commitment date is 4/1/2025. The project is currently expected to be awarded 1/26/2026.
