Public comment period open for S.R. 134 bridge rehabilitation

CHILLICOTHE – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input for a bridge rehabilitation project on SR 134 in Highland County.
HIG-134-4.69 (124514) It is proposed to rehabilitate the bridge on SR 134 between Vance Road and SR 321 in Highland County, Ohio. The project is located in the rural area of Clay Township.
Ruble Run is a perennial stream that is in the Ohio River drainage basin. Within the project area Ruble Run has drainage area of 3.09 mi².
The project will not require new right-of-way.
No homes or businesses will be removed by the project.
The roadway will be open for the duration of the project.
The funding for the project is 80% Federal and 20% State.
The environmental commitment date is 1/29/2027. The project is currently expected to be awarded 1/1/2028.
