Premier Showmen member Payton Luschek attends the Brown County Youth Livestock Clinic

Premier Showmen 4-H member Payton Luschek joined fellow youths at the 2025 Brown County Youth Livestock Clinic held Saturday, June 21. 

The hands-on event provided participants with valuable experience in animal handling, judging, and livestock care.  Each youth member had the opportunity to work with an animal on improving their showing techniques.

Throughout the day, youth had the opportunity to work with a variety of livestock, sharpen their livestock judging skills, and gain knowledge on proper feeding techniques. One of the highlights of the clinic was the practice skillathon, where participants were tested on their knowledge of animal science.  

The event was designed to educate and prepare the next generation of livestock producers and showmen, also fostered camaraderie among 4-H members and aspiring agriculturalists.  

“This clinic gave me a better understanding of how to care for and present my animals,” Luschek said. “It was fun to learn from others and improve my skills.”
