Patton, Dehaas appear for pretrials

Several defendants in pending, unrelated cases appeared Tuesday before Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss. 
• Kevin Dehaas, 21, of Hillsboro, appeared for a final pretrial hearing on one charge of aggravated vehicular homicide. 
The charges stem from a three-vehicle crash on state Route 138 in September. His attorney, J.D. Wagoner said they are still reviewing the information from a crash reconstruction expert. 
Another final pretrial has been scheduled for July 12, and a Jury trial is scheduled for Aug. 8. 
Mickey Berry, who was also charged in relation to the crash, has a jury trial scheduled for August. 
• Casey Patton, Casey Patton, 25, is currently being held at the Highland County Justice Center. He was indicated earlier this month on a charge of first-degree felony aggravated robbery after he allegedly held up Larry's Party Shop at knifepoint. A pretrial hearing was held Tuesday via video, as he is being held at the Highland County Justice Center on $100,000 bond. A final pretrial is scheduled for July 12 and a jury trial has been scheduled for July 18.
