Paps Hilltop Distillery wins Gold Medals in U.S. Open Whiskey & Spirits Championship
BAINBRIDGE – Paps Hilltop Distillery in Bainbridge recently won two Gold Medals in the 2025 U.S. Open Whiskey & Spirits Championship.
The competition, which attracts distilleries nationwide, awarded two medals to Paps.
Paps’ Copperas Mountain Corn was voted Best Traditional Moonshine in the competition and received the Gold Medal for that category.
Paps’ Caramel Apple Pie Moonshine was voted Best Flavored Moonshine and received the Gold Medal for that category.
In addition to the two Gold Medals, Paps placed third in the Top Spirits Distilleries in the U.S.
“We were excited to hear the results of the competition” added Chris Lewis, Co-owner of Paps Hilltop Distillery. “We always enter the competitions hoping to receive valuable feedback from the judges. We never dreamed that we would win two Gold Medals.”
Paps Hilltop Distillery is a family owned distillery located at 117 East Main Street in Bainbridge. It is open to the public on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
