Local livestock exhibitor Carly Sanders delivered a masterclass performance at the Ohio State Fair, capturing two of the most coveted honors during the competitive Breeding Session 1 livestock exposition.
Sanders kicked off her dominant run in the arena by securing a first-place blue ribbon in her highly competitive Angus heifer class. Evaluated against elite structural soundness and breed genetics, Sanders’ heifer outpaced the field to secure the top spot.
The success peaked later in the session when judges named Sanders the Supreme Showman of Showmen for Breeding Session 1. This premier designation bypasses animal confirmation to judge the exhibitor's personal technical skill, ring awareness, and animal handling execution.
"Winning a class at this level requires an intense, year-round commitment to daily hair care, specialized nutrition, and ring training," said fair officials regarding the caliber of competition. "To follow that up with a Supreme Showman title proves an exhibitor possesses an elite level of poise and mastery under pressure."
The double-victory places Sanders among the top tier of youth livestock exhibitors in the state, capping off months of preparation with a career-defining performance in the show ring.
