Mount Orab police officer Justin Conley was shot by a man he had arrested on an OVI violation early Sunday morning. Conley is recovering from his wounds. The suspect, George Ruby, was shot and killed by another officer, according to a report by www.kypost.com. The shooting occurred at the Mt. Orab Police Department around 4 a.m. Sunday. Officer Conley was reportedly shot in the back as he went outside to get something from his cruiser. Ruby had been arrested on an OVI (operating a vehicle while impaired) charge for allegedly drinking and driving. After his wife picked him up, Ruby allegedly returned with a handgun and shot the officer in the back.
