On Saturday, May 8 at 7:30 p.m. the McClain Show Choir will present its annual show, "Spectacular." Each year, members of the McClain Show Choir conclude the academic school year with a variety show. Themes have included "Across America," "Disney" and "Let's Go to the Movies." This year's show will feature songs, dances and skits from the wonderful world of Broadway. The group will be performing songs from "Hairspray," Wicked," "Titanic" and "The Lion King," along with other award-winning shows. Members of this select choir will be exhibiting their talents in solo acts, duets, group numbers and dances. "Spectacular" serve as an opportunity for these students to showcase their talent as well as serving as a fundraiser for the group. This choir has performed in the Macy's Day Parade, the Candlelight Processional at Epcot, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the United Nations and the Mall of America. This past spring they presented their own stage show at Epcot. The group will be traveling to New York City in the spring of 2011. They are planning to perform at the United Nations and view many sights of the city. If you enjoy Broadway music, we encourage you to come enjoy an evening of great entertainment. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the door. If you have any questions, please call Loretta Flora at (937) 981-7731.
