The Marshall Township Volunteer Fire Department recently took delivery of a new fire truck. The truck was purchased with the assistance of a Firefighters Grant in the amount of $249,850 awarded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The new truck will replace a 29-year-old engine purchased by the department in 1998. The community will be able to check out this new vehicle during the department's annual chili supper to be held this spring. The Marshall Township Fire Department was formed in 1976 and continues to serve the community with a full volunteer staff.
