Man dies in Adams County logging accident

A 61-year-old man was killed in a logging accident Monday in Monroe Township near Manchester, according to a report by WKRC News at https://local12.com/.

Deputies responded to the area of Buckeye Station Road after a report of a logging accident. When deputies and emergency crews arrived, they found the man involved in a logging operation on the property.

A preliminary investigation indicates the man was cutting timber when a tree or a portion of a tree struck him. He was pronounced dead at the scene by West Union Fire Department.
