Longtime Greenfield businessman Bill Collins dies at 86

Longtime Greenfield businessman James W. "Bill" Collins passed away Thursday, Dec. 31 at his home.

Mr. Collins was the owner and operator of Collins Packing Company in Greenfield and Highlander Ford Company in Greenfield and Bainbridge. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp. WWII veteran and also served during the Korean War.

Visitation will be from noon-5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield. Memorials may be made to Hills and Dales Training Center in Hillsboro.
