A June 16 lightning strike caused this tree damage on East Lake Shore Drive at Rocky Fork Lake.

"It shook our entire house when it happened. It sounded like a bomb went off next to the house," said residents Robert and Gail Warden.

"We were very fortunate, since the tree could have hit our house or garage. The lightning hit the top of the tree. Many pieces were blown across the street."
