LaRose announces start of early voting for 2026 primary election

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced the start of early voting for the 2026 primary election.
 
“Secure and accessible elections begin with preparation, and Ohio’s bipartisan officials have done the work to make that a reality,” said Secretary LaRose. “I encourage every eligible voter to visit VoteOhio.gov and make their voting plan."
 
What voters need to know:

Voters looking to take advantage of early in-person or absentee voting can visit VoteOhio.gov for hours, locations and deadlines.

Ohioans interested in helping their friends and neighbors vote are encouraged to sign up to be a poll worker as soon as possible at VoteOhio.gov/BeAPollWorker.

Election Day is May 5th, and polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Absentee ballots must be received by your county board of elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.
