Juvenile pleads guilty to aggravated robbery

A Greenfield juvenile charged as an adult on first-degree felony aggravated robbery has pleaded guilty in Highland County Common Pleas Court. 
Richard Washburn, 17, was indicted by a grand jury in April after it was reported he "held a knife to the throat of an employee of the Judge Petro Gas Station in Greenfield, Highland County, Ohio, demanded and received money in the amount of $140 from said employee," according to court documents.
Washburn pleaded guilty to the first-degree felony charge May 19. He was represented by attorney David Pence. 
The state was represented by Highland County Prosecutor Jim Grandey. 
Pence requested that a presentence investigation take place, which was granted by Judge Rocky Coss. 
The state has recommended Washburn be sentenced to three years in prison. 
A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for June. 9. Washburn remains in the custody of the Highland County Sheriff's Office.
