Intersection change slated for S.R. 134 in Clinton County
The Ohio Department of Transportation will be implementing a traffic change at the intersection of state routes 134 and 350 in Clinton County next week.
In an effort to improve safety, the intersection of S.R. 134 and S.R. 350 in Clinton County will be converted from a two-way to a four-way stop.
Currently, S.R. 134 motorists have the right of way or free-flow movement, and S.R. 350 motorists are required to stop and yield to S.R. 134 traffic.
On Wednesday, July 9, the intersection will be converted to a four-way stop, and this will require motorists on S.R. 134 to stop at the intersection with S.R. 350 as well.
Message boards alerting motorists of the upcoming change have been installed; however, drivers on both routes are reminded of the need for additional caution when approaching or entering the intersection.

I think it's a great idea…
I think it's a great idea that is long overdue. Those that are heading west on 350 cannot see around that curve before crossing 134, or turning right. I try to look in that direction as I approach the stop on 350 (coming from New Vienna) to see if there is anyone coming, but if I have to sit there for any amount of time, I can't tell if there is someone approaching from the south that I was not able to see before. There have been many times in heavy fog, where I have had to roll my window down to try to listen for approaching traffic before turning onto 134. There will be warning signs for those driving on 134, to let them know about the upcoming stop sign. I agree, people are moving too fast anymore and not paying attention, so hopefully there are no incidents after the stop is put in place.

I can see some accidents happening often there now. People these days are in such a big hurry. Who wants to be caught on a hill with a curve going N on 134 and 350 at a stop sign! I think this is just dumb. tQ
