An inside look at new Hillsboro fire station

A celebration of the opening of the new station for Hillsboro Fire and Rescue will be held Saturday, March 13 at the new station located at 204 North East Street from 1-4 p.m.

The Highland County Press was given a preview tour of the building this week, which can be viewed in the accompanying news video, along with one-on-one discussions with firefighters.

All members of the community are welcome to come and take this online tour, as well as in person. Firefighters will be on hand Saturday to answer any questions. Free blood pressure screenings will also be available from 2-4 p.m. Ribbon cutting is scheduled to take place around 1:15 with the traditional housing ceremony to follow.  [[In-content Ad]]
