The following incidents have been reported by the Hillsboro Police Department, Nick Thompson, police chief. On October 23, 2009, Hilda Hamilton of June Avenue, Hillsboro reported someone entered her house and removed several items. On October, Kroger of Harry Sauner Road reported they had a female shoplifter. Upon investigation, Lacy Helterbrand of Peebles, was arrested for theft. On October 23, 2009, Cornelious Crosby of Hillsboro, driving a 1997 Dodge, was traveling westbound on Willow Street and failed to stop for a 2004 Ford, driven by Donald Roberts of SR 73, Hillsboro, that was stopped at the stop sign. Crosby was cited for following too close. Arrests: Sean Groves, SR 73, Hillsboro, arrested on bench warrant. Robert Brown, Holladay Road, Hillsboro, cited for DUI and prohibited turn. James Purdin, Greenfield, Ohio, arrested for bench warrant. On October 25, 2009, Walmart reported they had a shoplifter in the store that had taken several items. A juvenile from Martinsville, Ohio was arrested for theft. Arrests: Bradley Evans, Sardinia, Ohio, for failure to file for current tags. James Clark, East Lilly Avenue, Hillsboro, driving under suspension. Cornelious Crosby, North West Street, Hillsboro, bench warrant and failure to appear. Carl Franklin, West Main Street, Hillsboro, menacing by stalking. Michael Kirker, Seaman, Ohio, open container. [[In-content Ad]]
