Hillsboro Police Report

These incidents have been reported by the HPD.

Jan. 29

On Jan. 29, at approximately 5:51 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to the intersection of North East Street and East Collins Avenue for a report of a 2-car non-injury crash. Upon arrival, Orville Cox, 65, of Hillsboro, was making a right-hand turn from E. Collins Ave. on to N. East St. Rachael Barker, 35, of Hillsboro, was stationary at the stop sign facing north on N. East St. at the intersection of E. Colins Ave. when Cox failed to maintain control of his vehicle, causing him to strike the front fender and door area of Barker's vehicle. Cox was cited for failure to maintain control. 

On Jan. 29, at approximately 12:48 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a call of a non-injury 2-car crash in the 500 block of South High Street. Upon arrival, Linda Day, 75, of Hillsboro was traveling northbound in the 500 block of S. High St. Day was slowing for traffic when Donna Armstrong, 86, of Hillsboro made a left-hand turn out of a private driveway. Armstrong failed to yield to Day and struck the front driver side of her vehicle. Armstrong was cited for failure to yield.
