A Hillsboro man faces charges of aggravated robbery after a robbery at the Days Inn on Harry Sauner Road.

The Hillsboro Police Department said it received a call at 1:54 a.m. Sunday, July 24 in which the motel's night clerk said he had just been robbed by a man with a knife. The suspect took cash money from the register drawer and left, the police report said.

Hillsboro police and deputies, plus a K-9 unit, from the Highland County Sheriff's Office responded. Their search led them to an apartment on Cedarwood Drive. After receiving permission to conduct a search, officers arrested Darryl Watson, 25, of Cedarwood Drive, Hillsboro.
