CONWAY, Arkansas - A Hillsboro man has been arrested in connection with a bank robbery in Arkansas, according to The Associated Press.
Detectives in Conway, Arkansas "arrested Eric Kennedy of Hillsboro, Ohio, at a hotel about 10 a.m. Wednesday. Kennedy remained at the Faulker County jail without bond on counts including aggravated robbery and theft of property. Officers said they recognized Kennedy from surveillance photos released from Monday’s robbery of the Centennial Bank," according to the AP.
Highland County Sheriff Ron Ward told The Highland County Press that records did not indicate Kennedy has a criminal history in Highland County. Kennedy's name could not be found in a search on the Hillsboro Municipal Court website.
"Police said a man entered the (Arkansas) bank about 4:30 p.m. and gave a teller a note indicating he had a weapon and wanted money.
After he was given some cash, the man left the bank," according to the AP.
