Hillsboro FFA chosen to participate in Columbus event

The Hillsboro High School FFA program was chosen by the Ohio School Boards Association to participate in the Student Achievement Fair at Capital Conference in Columbus on November 15th. Among the thousands of programs in Ohio only 100 were selected statewide to participate. The Hillsboro High School FFA will represent the Southwestern part of Ohio.
During the Capital Conference the students will talk about how hands-on training through FFA livestock projects teaches responsibility, animal nutritional and health evaluation, and an understanding of agriculture’s economic impact on the community.
To honor their selection the FFA was presented a plaque at the OSBA Southwest Region Fall Conference at Sinclair Community College in Dayton on Oct. 13.
Ron Diver, region manager, of the Southwest Region OSBA said “the students and school district are to be commended for being selected to showcase their program. The community should be very proud.”
