Hillsboro asks residents to refrain from on street parking

By Shawn Adkins
Hillsboro Safety and Service Director

As we prepare for the winter storm this weekend, I want to remind residents to please refrain from parking on city streets if at all possible. Keeping streets clear allows our safety and service crews, as well as other essential workers, to safely and efficiently plow and treat roadways during the storm.

Before attempting to travel, residents are strongly encouraged to determine the current Snow
Level Emergency. Snow Level Emergencies are set by the Highland County Sheriff’s Office.

Please check the Sheriff’s Office website or official social media pages for the most up-to-date
information regarding travel restrictions.

Residents are also encouraged to register for local emergency notifications and community alerts, which provide timely information related to weather conditions, road status, and public
safety updates. To register, please visit www.highlandcountyema.com.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and for helping keep our community safe.
