Feb. 8
A resident of the 5400 block of Muhlbach Road reported someone trespassing on their neighbor’s property. After investigation, it was determined that the property owner knew the suspect and refused charges. As the deputy was preparing to transport the male to Hillsboro to wait for a ride, the deputy performed a routine pat-down search before leaving the scene, locating drug paraphernalia. James T. Funk, 30, of Wilmington, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
A deputy, while conducting stationary traffic enforcement, observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 10000 block of U.S. Route 50 at a speed greater than the posted limit. The deputy attempted a traffic stop; however, the driver refused to stop and accelerated to speeds up to 80 mph before coming to a stop on U.S. Route 50 near North Beach Road. The driver, a juvenile, was charged with OVI, failure to comply, and speeding.
Feb. 9
A deputy responded to the 5300 block of state Route 753 after a report of a domestic disturbance. After investigation, Kenneth L. Long, 41, of Morrow was charged with domestic violence.
