Highland County Sheriff's Report

These incidents have been reported by the HCSO.
                                 
Dec. 8

Waverly Police requested units be on the lookout for a male wanted in connection to a reported kidnapping from their city. The information provided advised the male resided in the Rocky Fork Lake area. A short time later, the vehicle described as the suspects was located and stopped on W. Main St. by units from Hillsboro Police and Highland County Sheriff’s Office. After investigation, the child was located in the vehicle and removed to safety by Hillsboro Police. The suspect was identified as Guy S. Myers, 45, of Hillsboro. 

Myers was turned over to Waverly Police custody.

Dec. 9 

Deputies responded to the 2500 block of state Route 134 after a report of a person assaulted in a Clay Twp. residence. After investigation, charges are currently pending for a Dayton area male.

A deputy responded to the 13000 block of Martinsburg Road after AES reported the theft of copper. This incident remains under investigation.
