Highland County Sheriff’s Report

Nov. 20

A resident of N. High St., Mowrystown, reported a juvenile was being unruly. After investigation, the juvenile was charged with domestic violence and was transported to a juvenile detention facility.

Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle running off the roadway into a field in the 9400 block of Pigeon Roost Road. During investigation, the driver was located at their residence. 

The driver, identified as Shannon M. Baker, 39, of Hillsboro, admitted to having consumed alcohol prior to the accident. Baker was arrested and charged with OVI.

Nov. 21

Deputies were advised that Blanchester Police was currently in pursuit of a vehicle that had entered Highland County and was currently eastbound on state Route 138 in Clay Twp. 

Deputies applied stop sticks at locations on state Route 138. As the pursuit approached state Route 138 near Tolle Road, the suspect, seeing the stop sticks, stopped the vehicle and surrendered. 

The driver, identified as Shaun E. Larkin, 35, of Blanchester and his passenger, Courtney G. Ritze, 34, of Wilmington, were taken into custody on drug-related warrants. Both were turned over to Blanchester Police and transported to the Clinton County Jail.
