Highland County Sheriff’s Report

These incidents have been reported by the HCSO.

Aug. 22

A resident of the 11000 block of Karnes Road reported the theft of a vehicle. This incident remains under investigation.

A deputy responded to the 2500 block of state Route 134 after a report of trespassing. After investigation, a Sardinia female was trespassed from the property.

Aug. 23
 
Deputies responded to the 3100 block of Neal Road, after a report of a large fight. After investigation, Corlee M. Akers, 20, of Hillsboro, and Levi J. Smallwood, 18, of Sardinia, were both charged with underage consumption.

A deputy while on patrol in Madison Twp. attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 100 block of Jefferson St. The vehicle refused to stop and continued eastbound on state Route 28, into Ross County. The vehicle came to a stop a short time later near Blaine Lane. The driver identified as Wyatt C. Swackhammer, 20, of Chillicothe, was charged with OVI, and underage consumption. A passenger, identified as Jasmyne R. Smithberger, 19, of Circleville, was charged with underage consumption.
