Highland County Sheriff’s Report

These incidents have been reported by the HCSO.

March 27
 
A resident of the 1400 block of S. Gath Road reported someone drove past their residence, was yelling and possibly fired a weapon. This incident remains under investigation.

A deputy responded to the 6400 block of Panhandle Road after a report of a burglary. This incident is still under investigation.

A resident of the 11000 block of Jury Rd reported an unruly juvenile.

March 28

A resident of the 10000 block of E. Berrysville Road reported a domestic disturbance. After investigation, it was determined to have been a verbal dispute. Both parties were given a warning for disorderly conduct.

Arrest/Citations

Eric J. Whitenack, 47, of Lynchburg, driving under suspension.

Kae R. Royster, 41, of Latham, operating a vehicle with a temporary permit.

Gary K. Sorrells, 38, of Hillsboro, contempt of court, criminal damaging, two counts of assault.
