Highland County Sheriff's Report

These incidents have been reported by the HCSO.
 

June 9

Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious person in the 6800 block of Heather Moor Trail. After investigation, William R. Moore Jr., 53, of Hillsboro was arrested for failure to appear and a probation violation.

A resident of the 5400 block of Sorg Road reported a domestic disturbance. After investigation, Michael J. Dearing Jr., 46, of Winchester was charged with domestic violence.

A deputy responded to the 600 block of Fenwick Road after a report of a theft of a safe. This incident remains under investigation.

June 10

A resident of the 2100 block of state Route 73 reported a male was causing a disturbance. After investigation, the male had left prior to the deputies’ arrival. Charges are currently pending for a Sardinia male.
