Hazardous weather in the forecast
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather advisory for this week.
Windy conditions are expected Wednesday, with gusts of 35-45 mph possible. Snow showers are expected Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night.
Slick road conditions will be possible with falling temperatures especially Wednesday evening into Wednesday night.
A system will bring accumulating snow to the region Thursday night into Friday. This will have the potential to impact the Friday morning commute.
Another system will bring additional accumulating snow Saturday into Saturday night with the greatest potential for accumulating snow late in the day Saturday and into Saturday night.
Very cold air will filter into the region this upcoming weekend. Wind chill values near or below zero will be possible in areas Saturday, Sunday, and Monday morning.

Tonight – Rain likely, mainly after 5am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. Breezy, with a southwest wind 13 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Wednesday – Rain and snow showers before 9am, then rain showers between 9am and 4pm, then rain and snow showers likely after 4pm. High near 43. Breezy, with a southwest wind 18 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 41 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Wednesday Night – Snow showers likely, mainly before 7pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. West wind 10 to 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Thursday – A slight chance of snow after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 32. West wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Thursday Night – A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Friday – A chance of snow before 1pm, then a chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 34. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Friday Night – Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20.
Saturday – Mostly cloudy, with a high near 29.
Saturday Night – A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 11. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Sunday – Partly sunny, with a high near 20.
Sunday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 8.
