Greenfield playground project needs your vote

A Greenfield playground project has been selected by the Sear Blue Tool Crew as a contest finalist. As such, Sears will be donating $3,000 in tools for the Greenfield project.

The following is written about Mr. Dodds: "My husband is an amazing father and example to his daughters. He is a shop teacher at McClain High School. In his 15 years as a teacher there, he has taught his students the importance of serving the community through projects that benefit others. He has done so many projects, but here are some examples that define the person that he is and encourages others to become. He has made benches for the local armory, a puppet theater for the local library, picnic tables for the football field and a shed for a house for Habitat for Humanity. He has also designed the informational sign for the front of our school. He wants to do a project for our local playground. He wants to refurbish the playground as it is becoming run down. The school elementary children play there and the community uses it. It is the only playground in our small town. It needs to be cleaned up(power washed), the treated woods need sanded and re-stained. Broken boards need cut and replaced. There is need for financial support of this project. We have had factories close here and a high number of citizens in our town are unemployed. People just don't have the funds to contribute though I am sure they would be willing to work on it, if there was a way to provide it."
