On Saturday, June 26, at 3:47 a.m. officers on patrol noticed an audible alarm sounding at West End Sunoco, 1006 Jefferson St., Greenfield.
Upon checking the building, officers observed a male running from the scene carrying an item. The male dropped the item, later found to be a cash register, and attempted to elude officers.
He was apprehended after a short foot pursuit and identified as Richard W. Mick, 35, Greenfield. Officers found Mick had gained entry to the store by smashing a door window with a rock. Mick was charged with breaking and entering, possession of criminal tools, receiving stolen property, and possession of drug paraphernalia.   He was taken to the Highland County Justice Center in lieu of $250,000 bond and was arraigned in Highland County Court, Greenfield, on Monday morning.[[In-content Ad]]
