Ohio Governor Ted Strickland today signed House Bill 48 and Senate Bill 147.

 House Bill 48
State Representative Peter Ujvagi sponsored HB 48, which requires employers to allow two weeks of leave for spouses and parents of a member of the uniformed services who is called to active duty or is injured, wounded, or hospitalized while serving in active duty.
Senate Bill 147
State Senator Jim Hughes sponsored SB 147, which gives the right of disposal to the U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs regarding abandoned or unclaimed remains of persons who identified as veterans and are entitled to be buried in a national cemetery.
