Note: Each year, the Highland County 4-H Advisory Committee selects contributors to the Highland County 4-H program to recognize their support and passion for the 4-H program. These businesses and individuals spend countless hours and resources to benefit the youth of Highland County, truly making the best better. For 2025, we recognize the following: Highland County Pork Council, Highland District Hospital, Jeff & Amanda Knauff, and Kaley Fannin. This story focuses on Jeff and Amanda Knauff.
It is our privilege to honor two exceptional individuals whose dedication and spirit have deeply enriched the Highland County 4‑H program. Their contributions embody everything this award stands for: passion, generosity, and service.
From the moment they joined our 4‑H community, they have stepped forward, not just as volunteers, but as mentors, advocates, and innovators. They’ve invested time and talent by coaching project groups, sharing their expertise, and always offering a helping hand to both youth and fellow volunteers.
They have championed opportunities by developing workshops, coordinating judging prep, and enhancing youth learning experiences at fair time. They have also cultivated community partnerships by connecting 4‑H with local businesses, securing resources, and ensuring our programs remain vibrant and accessible.
But beyond logistics and programming, they have modeled the very heart of 4‑H. They lead with empathy, encourage growth, and celebrate every child's effort, helping each youth feel seen and valued. Their upbeat presence and can-do attitude have inspired volunteers and strengthened our community.
That is why we are proud to present the Friends of 4‑H Award to Jeff and Amanda Knauff. Your partnership has lifted our program, enriched countless youth, and strengthened community bonds. You have helped make Highland County’s 4‑H not just a program but a family.
Thank you, Jeff and Amanda, for your unwavering support, your dedication, and your belief in our youth. We are so grateful for you and honored to call you true friends of 4‑H.
