Demolition of the former Gross-Feibel Safe Company on North Elm Street in Hillsboro is nearing completion.

As previously reported, members of the Highland County Land Reutilization Corporation (land bank) board and the city of Hillsboro agreed to cover the demolition costs during a March 20 land bank board meeting.

The Gross-Feibel Safe Company was a Hillsboro, Ohio-based manufacturer of bank safes and vault doors, founded by Chauncey Gross in the early 1900s.
