Former Greenfield resident a finalist in Pepsi MAX Field of Dreams

Hilliard resident Tim Wisecup is one step closer to bringing a dream team of Major League Baseball greats to his hometown as a finalist in the Pepsi MAX Field of Dreams promotion.
Competing against three other baseball enthusiasts, Wiseup, a McClain High School graduate, is vying for the chance to play the ultimate fan face-off game with 10 of his friends against a team of legendary players including Reggie Jackson, Johnny Bench and Cal Ripken, Jr.
From July 12 through August 31, more than 2.5 million votes were cast by baseball fans across the country to determine the 11-man Pepsi MAX Field of Dreams Team, which includes some of the biggest names in baseball.
Now it’s your turn to cast your vote for Tim Wisecup at mlb.com/pepsimax to bring this real life fantasy team to Columbus.
Fans will have the chance to vote for which of the four finalists will host the Pepsi MAX Field of Dreams Team. The winner will play a game against the legendary team in their local community surrounded by family, friends and baseball enthusiasts.
The Pepsi MAX MLB Field of Dreams Team roster is comprised of:
Starting Pitcher – Randy Johnson
Catcher – Johnny Bench
First Baseman – Frank Thomas
Second Baseman – Rod Carew
Third Baseman – Mike Schmidt
Short Stop – Cal Ripken, Jr.
Outfielders – Ken Griffey, Jr., Tony Gwynn and Reggie Jackson
Relief Pitcher – Dennis Eckersley
Designated Hitter – Edgar Martinez
“I’m so excited to be a finalist and to have the chance to not only meet, but play against some of my baseball idols,” Wisecup said. “I hope to get as many Ohio fans as possible to watch my video at mlb.com/pepsimax and vote for me, and if I win, to come watch me play against this team of legends in our very own hometown.”
