First responders called to HDH

Paint Creek Joint EMS/Fire District

This morning at 4:38 a.m. Paint Creek Joint EMS/Fire District Station 23 was dispatched for a fire alarm on the second floor of Highland District Hospital. 

Upon arrival, crews were able to locate light smoke on the second floor. A county tone was dispatched for all available units to respond to the scene. 

All patients from the second and third floors were evacuated to a safe location on the first floor. The source of the smoke was quickly located and mitigated. Multiple units remain on scene at this time.
