Three board-certified physicians have joined Dr. Jason Collins in Adena Health System's recently opened Circleville office. Two of those physicians specialize in OB/GYN and the other specializes in sports medicine.
Since Adena Family Medicine Circleville was opened early this year, "we have received great feedback regarding our highly personalized patient care," said Collins, who serves patients from Circleville and throughout Pickaway County.
"Based on the positive response from patients, Adena has chosen to expand the services it provides," he added.
Dr. Michelle Federer and Dr. Lee Parks, both longtime physicians with the Adena Health System, will be available in the Circleville office to provide obstetrics and gynecology services. Combined, they have more than 22 years of experience in their medical specialties.
Additionally, Dr. Aaron Roberts will be available to provide sports medicine and orthopaedic services to patients in Circleville and throughout Pickaway County.
All three physicians will share time between the Circleville office and the Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe.
Moreover, OB/GYN patients from Pickaway County and south-central Ohio will directly benefit from the opening of the $45.5 million Northeast Expansion, and particularly the new Adena Women's and Children's Center.
The 20-bed center will house a special labor triage area, advanced labor and delivery rooms, C-section suites, post-partum rooms and a well-baby nursery.
Additionally, a Level II nursery will provide care for babies born at 32 weeks gestation, or greater, and those who need close observation or extra help after birth.
The expansion of the Circleville office, Collins said, is another example of Adena Health System's commitment to providing complete primary care, OB/GYN, cardiology, pulmonology, radiology, X-ray and lab services.
Michelle Federer, DO, received her medical training at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Doctor's Hospital in Columbus.
Lee H. Parks, DO, received his medical training at the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery and received his training in obstetrics and gynecology at The Medical College of Ohio Toledo.
Aaron Roberts, MD, received his training at the American University of the Caribbean, West Indies, and completed his residency at Aultman Hospital in Canton, OH. He is board certified in family medicine with additional certification in sports medicine
