Early voting begins Oct. 4

Starting Tuesday, Oct. 4, the Highland County Board of Elections office will be open for early in-office absentee voting.

Hours are as follows: Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Tuesdays, 8:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Fridays, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.; and the Saturday before the election (Nov. 5), 9 a.m. - noon.

October 11 is the close of registration for the general election.

The Board of Elections will hold its monthly meeting at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11 at the board office.
