No injuries and moderate damage have been reported during a structure fire in the 300 block of Vine Street Wednesday evening.

At approximately 7 p.m. Hillsboro Fire and Rescue received a report of the fire.

Hillsboro Fire Chief Jerry Powell said that he did not believe anyone was at home at the time the fire began. He said that with the assistance of the Leesburg North Joint Fire and Ambulance District and other township fire departments responding for mutual aid, they were able to knock down the fire quickly.

While the home is not a total loss, Powell said, several rooms sustained fire and smoke damage.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and the incident remains under investigation.
